Active work on the formation of a personnel reserve from among the company’s specialists, carried out at IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division, allows creating conditions for professional development and career growth of employees. For several years, senior positions have been filled mainly by reservists. So, in 2018, 47 reservists of the branch were transferred to vacant management positions, 53% of them are young workers under 35 years old.
Reservists are the most promising and enterprising workers who are interested in their professional development and career growth. One of the requirements for reservists, along with higher education and work experience, is a willingness to move to work in another locality.
At present, the personnel reserve of the branch is formed for 562 executive positions. Each reservist has a mentor from among the most experienced workers, who assists in the development of the target position, and individual development plans for the year. During annual holidays of leaders, reservists, as a rule, perform their duties, gaining experience.
In the framework of the implementation of the personnel policy of IDGC of Centre, in order to identify the potential of employees included in the management and youth personnel reserve of the Company, in 2018, distance learning was conducted under the Personnel Reserve Training Programs for the posts “Chief of Distribution Zone”, “First Deputy Chief Engineer”, “Deputy Chief Engineer of the Branch”. Each of the three phases of the program additionally included face-to-face management training. The results of mastering the program were recorded in the format of electronic testing. 34 reservists took part in the training event from the branch “Smolenskenergo”.
In April 2019, the company has scheduled to hold a meeting of members of the personnel reserve in the city of Tambov, which will be attended by IT reservists.
