IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division held a round table discussion on issues of prevention of third-party injuries at facilities of the power grid complex. It was attended by representatives of the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kostroma region, Rostekhnadzor, the regional administration, and the city education committee.
Power engineers introduced the event participants with experience in the field of electrical safety. Thus, in 2018, employees of the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre conducted more than 400 lessons and about 20 route games on electrical safety in educational institutions and children’s country camps of the Kostroma region. The main part of the activities was carried out within the framework of agreements on consolidation of efforts in the implementation of measures for the prevention of electrical injuries among children and adolescents concluded by Kostromaenergo with the city and regional education departments, regional departments of the EMERCOM and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
In addition, the power engineers distributed thematic information materials in the region. Hundreds of copies of the children’s book on electrical safety “Energolandia”, published with the support of IDGC of Centre, thematic timetables for lessons, discs with materials on the prevention of children’s electrical injuries were sent to educational institutions.
The roundtable participants also discussed the expansion of cooperation in the field of children’s safety. In particular, it was decided to strengthen the work on the distribution of campaign material on safety in schools in the region with the support of regional, city and district administrations, as well as to increase the number of visiting lessons on safety.
At the end of the round table, Kostromaenergo’s leading engineer of the dispatch control system operation service at Kostromaenergo Andrey Mozokhin told the audience about the concept of digital transformation of the power grid complex implemented by the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre, about the plans of the enterprise for its implementation, and also explained what effects these measures will give for quality improvement of consumers’ lives.
