Employees of Tverenergo continue systematic work on prevention of children’s electrical injuries

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division conducted an electrical safety lesson at secondary school No. 14 in the city of Tver. More than thirty first-graders attended the lesson. The lesson was held in the format of a learning game, the leading engineer of the industrial safety and production control department of Tverenergo, Yulia Goncharova, explained how to behave in security zones of power lines, why games near power facilities are prohibited. Also, the schoolchildren were told in detail how to properly handle electrical appliances in everyday life.

The most exciting part of the lesson was practicing skills with a special dummy simulator. The kids in an adapted form were shown the rules for assisting the victim of electricity. Each of the guys could try to perform these actions independently and revive the training robot.

For clarity, the specialists of Tverenergo demonstrated the cartoon “The Adventures of Voltik”, aimed at the prevention of children’s electrical injuries.

At the end of the lesson, the schoolchildren received thematic gifts: the “Energolandia” books containing the rules for safe handling of electricity, as well as visual printing products.

The primary school teacher Svetlana Dmitrieva thanked the staff of Tverenergo, noting the high level and usefulness of the event: “The lesson held by your staff in our school is really an effective form of teaching the schoolchildren the basics of electrical literacy. The today’s lesson will teach the children to be aware of the dangers and consequences of electric shock and better learn electrical safety rules.”
