Tver branch of IDGC of Centre connects major socially significant facilities to power grids

06.03.2019

In 2018, IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division fulfilled 5,011 contracts for connection to power grids, the total capacity of which was about 88 MW.

Since the beginning of the year, Tverenergo has connected a number of large industrial and social facilities. One of the important for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region was a flax plant in Staritsky district. To connect it, the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre replaced the existing current transformers at the 35/10 kV substation “Stepurino”.

In Rzhevsky district, a 10 kV overhead power line with a length of 2.21 km was constructed to connect facilities of the pig-breeding complex of “Rzhevsky Bacon” of JSC “Agrofirm Dmitrova Gora”, designed for simultaneous maintenance of 69.2 thousand cattle (a reproducer and feeding and growing sites).

In the village of Vlasyevo of Kashinsky district, installation of automatic load-shedding at the 35/10 kV substation “Savtsino” was carried out, and a switching device was installed to connect the new 0.4 kV cable line to the hay processing workshop.

Among the socially significant facilities connected in 2018 to Tverenergo’s grids was the first-aid station in the village of Bely-Kushalskoye of Kalininsky district, and medical stations of Staritskaya Central District Hospital in the villages of Babino and Vasilyevskoye.

The Tver branch has carried out systematic work to create conditions for development of housing construction in the Tver region. Since the beginning of 2018, the Zavidovo residential complex in the village of Mokshino of Konakovsky district and a 7-storey 77-apartment building in the city of Kimry have been connected to the company’s grids. To connect the residential complex “Zavidovo”, two sections of 10 kV overhead lines with a length of 0.01 km were constructed with installation of additional reinforced concrete poles. In Kimry, the power engineers installed an additional switching device for connecting a new 0.4 kV power line, and also designed and constructed two sections of 0.4 kV cable lines.

Another significant facility implemented over the past year was a crushing and sorting plant of “Coal Trading House” LLC. In the course of grid connection of this enterprise, 6.63 kilometres of a 10 kV overhead line were constructed.

The construction of power facilities is carried out using modern technologies and materials. The cable is made of cross-linked polyethylene, reliable self-supporting insulated wire, remote metering cabinets, where consumers’ electricity meters are installed.

“Grid connection is one of the priority tasks of Tverenergo,” stresses Manvel Mazhonts, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division director. “By fulfilling its obligations to timely connect industrial and industrial sites, social facilities, and housing projects to grids, IDGC of Centre makes a significant contribution to the social and economic development of the Tver region.”
