Hotline of power engineering specialists:
On 2 March, on the basis of the Orel State Agrarian University named after N.V. Parakhin (OSAU) the first stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren of ROSSETI passed. It was attended by pupils of grades 9-10. The organizer of the event at the regional level was IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division with the support of the Orel Region Education Department.
At the first stage, the children were asked to perform tasks in 3 disciplines: “mathematics”, “physics” and “computer science”. For each subject, the students had 2.5 hours.
The works of the schoolchildren will be evaluated at the first stage by a highly qualified jury composed of the head of the department of information technologies and computer science of the OSAU A.S. Kolomeychenko, the head of the department of engineering graphics and mechanics E.V. Mischenko, a teacher of the OSAU S.Y. Grishina, a teacher of the OSAU T.A. Volobueva, a teacher of the OSAU I.I. Zubova, a teacher of mathematics and physics of the secondary general boarding school T.P. Pozdnyakova and E.V. Dodonova.
The Olympics for schoolchildren are conducted by ROSSETI’s Group of Companies in order to identify and develop talented students who are capable of technical creativity and innovative thinking, planning their professional activities in the electricity industry, and involving them in the development of advanced infrastructure and technology projects relevant to the power grid complex of the Russian Federation.
Winners and prize-winners of the School Olympiad of ROSSETI will be revealed after its second (final) stage, which will be held in April 2019 and will be aimed at testing the ability to apply knowledge to solve applied problems in the field of the electric power industry.
