The regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren of ROSSETI was held in Lipetsk

More than 140 high school students from Lipetsk and 18 districts of the region demonstrated their knowledge of mathematics, physics, and computer science.

The second All-Russian Olympiad for pupils of the 9th and 10th grades, organized by the branch “Lipetskenergo”, was held at the base of the Lipetsk State Technical University with the support of the Centre for Continuing Education and the Electrical Equipment Department of the Voronezh State Technical University.

Opening the intellectual competition, Deputy Director for Sale and Development of Services of the branch “Lipetskenergo” Sergey Vetrov stressed that in connection with the implementation of the program for digitalization of the electric grid complex, the electric power industry needs young, active personnel who will move the industry forward with their knowledge and innovative ideas.

The works of schoolchildren will be checked by teachers of the LSTU and the Centre for Continuing Education. Winners and prize-winners of the first stage of the Olympiad will be awarded on 6 April and will receive case studies with tasks of the second stage, aimed at testing creative abilities and the ability to apply existing knowledge when solving applied problems in the field of the electric power industry.

All the finalists of the Olympiad will have the right to participate in the events of ROSSETI: the energy project shift, the All-Russian forum of scientific youth “Step into the Future”, the final events of the All-Russian forum “ProjeCTOriYA”. The students who have shown the best results will be included in the talent pool of ROSSETI’s subsidiaries.
