Hotline of power engineering specialists:
IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division with the support of the Kostroma Region Education Department and the Centre “Gifted Schoolchildren” conducted on the basis of the Kostroma Energy Technical School named after F.V. Chizhov the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren of ROSSETI’s Group of Companies. The event was attended by over 50 schoolchildren from Kostroma, Volgorechensk, Sharyinsky, Kadyisky, Susaninsky, Krasnoselsky, Buysky, Ostrovsky, Makaryevsky, Sudislavsky, Manturovsky and Kostromsky districts.
For two days, the guys performed assignments aimed at testing knowledge in the framework of general education programs in the subjects of physics, mathematics and computer science. Their work was evaluated by leading teachers of the Kostroma State University - candidates of technical and physical and mathematical sciences, associate professors, professors. According to the results of the examination, the competition commission will select the winners who will receive the right to participate in the second (final) stage of the Olympiad. The final stage of the School Olympiad of ROSSETI will be organized in absentia, the participants will have to solve cases with tasks aimed at testing creative abilities and the ability to apply existing knowledge in solving applied problems in the electric power industry.
The All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren of ROSSETI’s Group of Companies has been held for the second year in a row to identify gifted high school students who are capable of innovative thinking and are ready to link their professional activities with electric power engineering and their involvement in the development of advanced infrastructure and technology projects relevant to the power grid complex of Russia.
