04.03.2019

Specialists of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre regularly hold events in the framework of electrical injury prevention. Recently, the power engineers conducted a lesson on electrical safety for elementary school pupils of secondary school No. 9 in the city of Tver. Tverenergo’s workers told the children about the danger of electric current, explained why it is impossible to touch electrical wires, what to do if they have noticed an open door to a transformer substation. The children were warned that they should not fly kites near power lines, it is not recommended to play near electric grid facilities.

The guys were greatly impressed by the first-aid workshop for the victim of electric shock, which was conducted by Yulia Goncharova, the leading engineer of the industrial safety and production control office of the branch, with the simulator “Gosha”. Many guys tried their hand at it with pleasure, having completed their theoretical knowledge in practice. At the end of the fascinating lesson, the company’s specialists presented the children with colourful manuals “When electricity is dangerous” and posters with basic electrical safety rules.

As part of the program to prevent third-party electrical injuries at power facilities, Tver power engineers of IDGC of Centre systematically conduct electrical safety lessons in secondary educational institutions, and in the summer period in recreation camps of the region. The purpose of such events is not only to acquaint children with electrical safety rules, but also to hold an explanatory conversation with teachers and educators.
