Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division held a meeting on electricity metering issues in the administration building of Tambovsky district. The discussion was attended by heads of municipalities, heads of schools and social and cultural centres of the district.
During the meeting, the issues of unauthorized connection to power grids and interference with the operation of electricity metering devices were discussed. Tambovenergo’s representatives explained the reasons for the losses, who pays for them and what punishment threatens unscrupulous consumers.
“Prevention and combating electricity theft is one of the priorities of Tambovenergo. Specialists of the company regularly conduct raids to identify and prevent facts of illegal energy consumption, in some cases law enforcement officials are involved. In case of detection of facts of energy stealing, violators are threatened with significant fines,” stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
According to the results of the meeting, the staff of Tambovenergo made recommendations to the representatives of municipalities to check the functioning of metering devices within two months and in case of incorrect work, contact the grid companies to eliminate them.
