In preparation for the annual Summer Sports Games of IDGC of Centre, the volleyball team of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division took part in the Volleyball Championship of the City of Tver. Competitions are held from October 2018 to March 2019 among women’s and men’s teams, to attract young people to regular physical education, as well as improving the skills of athletes.
Volleyball competitions are one of the stages of the annual Sports Games of power engineers of IDGC of Centre, for which preparatory and training activities are held in Tverenergo throughout the year. In order to motivate the Tver team, with the support of the Primary Trade Union Organization of the branch, a trip of athletes to the Russian Volleyball Championship match between Dynamo (Moscow) and Belogorie (Belgorod) was organized.
Also, the Tver power engineers took part in an amateur volleyball tournament dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day in the village of Vakhonino of the Tver region.
The next stage of preparation will be the annual tournament in volleyball of teams of production bases and the Executive Office of Tverenergo, which will be held in April.
“There are only a few months left until the summer sports games of IDGC of Centre, and we are actively preparing to perform adequately. Volleyball is just one of the sports in which the Tver power engineers have to show their skills. The trade union has always supported Tverenergo’s personnel’s desire to go in for sports and lead a healthy lifestyle. To do this, we rent volleyball courts, football fields, ice hockey rinks, swimming pools and conduct corporate competitions,” said Sergey Aksakov, the chairman of the primary trade union organization of Tverenergo.
