Tver branch of IDGC of Centre summed up the results of the energy saving and energy efficiency improvement program for 2018

28.02.2019

The total effect from the implementation of the energy saving and energy efficiency improvement program at IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division in 2018 amounted to 2,354.19 thousand kWh.

To achieve the effect of energy saving within the framework of the program, phase load balancing in distribution grids was carried out, wires were replaced on 0.4 kV power lines and 10 kV power lines. Transformers were disconnected at low load conditions at substations with two or more transformers. The total effect from the implementation of these activities in 2018 amounted to 660.51 thousand kWh.

To reduce the volume of consumption of fuel and energy resources for utility needs of the branch, the buildings were sealed, the windows were replaced with plastic ones, and the lighting devices used at the branch’s facilities were replaced with LED ones. Annual planning of the consumption of fuel and energy resources and water was carried out, as well as an analysis of the implementation of limits on the consumption of fuel and energy resources and water on a monthly basis, which saved more than 157 thousand kWh.

“For 2018, a large amount of energy saving and energy efficiency measures were planned. Both internal - to save fuel and energy resources of the branch, and external - to popularize this subject among the population of the region and students of educational institutions,” said Alexey Smorodin, the head of the department of energy saving and energy efficiency of Tverenergo. “As a result, the program was implemented in full. Energy saving lessons were conducted for pupils of general education schools, interaction with students of higher educational institutions was carried out within the framework of consulting support in the field of energy saving. The compulsory energy survey of the branch was completed, aimed at identifying the existing energy saving potential, developing organizational, technical and other measures to reduce the consumption of energy resources and improve the quality of services provided by the branch.”
