19.02.2019

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continue career-guidance work among schoolchildren. An important component of this work is open door days, which are held at the branch’s facilities. The next such event was held in Belovsky Distribution Zone for pupils in the 9th grade of the Belovsky Secondary School.

The chief of Belovsky Distribution Zone of Kurskenergo Alexander Ivashov introduced the schoolchildren with the history and structure of the enterprise. Then the employees of Belovsky Distribution Zone conducted a briefing on the labour protection and safety procedures for the children and organized a study tour to the 110 kV “Belaya” substation, which supplies electricity to 28 settlements, social and industrial facilities in Belovsky district of the Kursk region.

The high school students learned how the substation works, what modern technologies ensure the reliability of power supply. Also, the energy specialists told the schoolchildren about the program of digital transformation of Kurskenergo’s grids - the transition of the electric grid company to a highly reliable smart network and maximum automation of business processes.

Olga Chekanova, a teacher at the Belovsky Secondary School, thanked the power engineers for the informative excursion for the schoolchildren.

Until the end of the year, Kurskenergo’s experts plan to conduct about 20 more excursions to the branch’s facilities for schoolchildren as part of the Open Doors Days.
