Lipetskenergo upgrades using innovative technologies.
In 2018, Lipetskenergo reconstructed the 110 kV overhead line “Lebedyan”. It was constructed about half a century ago. Now, instead of the old reinforced concrete poles innovative composite ones were installed. Power engineers replaced 37 kilometres of ground wire with modern, non-corrosive one. Its service life is at least 50 years. Short circuits indicators were installed on the line. The power supply of Lebedyansky, Dankovsky and Krasninsky districts has now become more reliable. Similar work was performed on the line “Dvurechki”.
To reconstruct the crossing over the Don River of the overhead line “Donskaya”, Lipetskenergo’s specialists had to find several innovative solutions at once. 900 metres of worn out wires here were replaced with an ultra-light cable. A special polymer alloy makes it three times lighter. At the same passage, the highest pole in the Black Soil Region was installed - more than 60 metres.
In 2018, Lipetskenergo also provided grid connection of several large facilities at once. For a large greenhouse complex in Khlevensky district, the power engineers constructed 12 kilometres of power lines. Along with it, at the intersection with the highway M-4 a cable was laid under the roadway, without damaging the asphalt. In the shortest possible time, Lipetskenergo connected residents of the Terbuny special economic zone to the grid. To start the plant for freezing vegetables it required power of 3,200 kilowatts.
“Reconstruction of energy facilities in our time - not just the replacement of the old wooden pole with the same new one. In each case - this is serious analytical work on selection of one of modern technologies, which today are many. We always choose the best option. This allows Lipetskenergo to perform work quickly, with guaranteed quality, laying the foundation for future digital transformation,” commented Sergey Dmitriev, Deputy Director for Capital Construction of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division.
In total, in 2018, IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division constructed and upgraded more than 280 kilometres of power lines, reconstructed six substations, and commissioned new capacities of 25 MVA.
