Smolenskenergo allocated over 5.5 million rubles for staff development

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division successfully implemented the 2018 staff development program. More than 5.5 million rubles were allocated for these purposes. 984 employees of the branch passed training in various specialties and areas.

Professional training and certification for the right of admission to perform a particular type of work was provided for the staff. The branch’s employees mastered their new knowledge in the field of labour protection, safe work and fire safety. So, 38 people improved their qualifications with knowledge of labour protection. In July 2018, 30 employees were trained under the program “Training of persons for the right to work with hazardous wastes” in the private institution of additional professional education “Training Centre “Profession Industrial Safety”. The trainees included chiefs and chief engineers of Distribution Zones, foremen of crews, transport repair masters, environmental engineers and other personnel categories. Experts note that such training is mandatory for newly recruited (or transferred to other positions) staff.

84 employees were trained on the topics “organization of operation and work performance at facilities supervised by Rostechnadzor”, “testing and measuring”, “organizing transportation and releasing vehicles to the line”, “admission to work as an instructor-reanimator and training personnel first aid methods”. 12 drivers were trained in the course of driving maneuvers.

They also received training on such topics as “Environmental Management”, “Training of internal auditors ISO 14001:2015”, “Effective sales techniques”, “Important changes and trends of labour legislation 2018-2019”, “Information and network technologies for telemechanics and communication specialists № PO-03-04-04”, “Parameterization, configuration and testing of relay protection and automation terminals of 6-220kV lines and transformers of the “Sirius” series”. On the basis of the management company LLC “Personnel invest” in Moscow there was training under the program of personnel reserve for the position “First Deputy Director of the Branch - Chief Engineer” and “Deputy Chief Engineer of the Branch”.

Smolenskenergo is interested in employees with specialized and higher education. The branch’s management sends employees for training under special programs of professional retraining and advanced training to the branch of the National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” in the city of Smolensk, the Ivanovo Power Engineering University and other specialized educational institutions.

In order to attract graduates of secondary educational, specialized educational institutions and university students to the branch, work on vocational guidance is constantly carried out, and practical training is organized for students. This allows to create a personnel reserve of the branch.

The personnel policy of IDGC of Centre is focused on the all-round development and support of the high professional level of the personnel; therefore, the company’s branches conduct systematic staff development.
