Smolensk branch of IDGC of Centre spent 62.02 million rubles in 2018 on labour protection measures for its personnel

In 2018, IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division spent more than 62 million rubles on activities aimed at reducing risks of occupational injuries, meeting the requirements of regulatory and legal acts on labour protection, and improving staff sanitary and living conditions. The invested funds allowed the staff to be provided with sufficient modern means of protection, tools and devices to ensure the safe execution of work.

Important in the field of labour protection are measures to prevent occupational diseases and improve the working conditions of staff. Last year, a special assessment of working conditions was carried out at 459 workplaces in the branch in accordance with current legislation. The working conditions of the workplaces of the branch’s employees were evaluated, measures were developed to improve conditions at the workplaces where harmful production factors had been identified.

One of the important areas of work is training employees in safe work practices, increasing knowledge in the field of occupational safety and health. First of all, knowledge of labour protection rules during the operation of electrical installations, technical operation rules and fire safety rules in ROSSETI’s electric grid complex were checked, and the skills of first aid for victims of accidents were also tested. During the year, 159 managers and specialists of the branch passed their knowledge check through the central commission of the branch according to the schedule, more than 2,700 employees participated in commissions of the subdivisions. An extraordinary examination of the relevant staff of the branch was also carried out in connection with the introduction of the “Rules on labour protection in road transport” and the “Rules for organization of maintenance and repair of electric power facilities”.
