IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division launched a project to create a unified grid control centre (UGCC) within the framework of IDGC of Center’s strategy on digital transformation of the electric grid complex in accordance with the unified concept of the development of ROSSETI.
The liquidation of 20 dispatch centres of Distribution Zones in the Tambov region and the creation of the unified grid control centre in the building of the executive office of Tambovenergo is the creation of a highly automated network and the organization of management of electrical installations using a digital communication system. If a malfunction occurs at any substation, a signal about this will instantly appear to the dispatcher, which will facilitate the prompt organization of emergency recovery operations, and disconnections with intermittent fault will be eliminated in seconds.
The UGCC of the branch will include a section of operational and technological management of the main grid of 35-110 kV and a section of operational and technological management of the distribution grid of 0.4-10 kV. This scheme assumes the centralized operational and technological management of the entire power grid complex and the maintenance of reference and emergency response work from the single dispatch centre.
“The implementation of this project will increase the observability of grids, reduce the time to eliminate technological disruptions and improve the quality and reliability of power supply to consumers in the Tambov region,” stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
