In 2018 Kostromaenergo collected in court from defaulters more than 31 million rubles for electricity transmitted

04.02.2019

IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division summed up the results of 2018 for collection of receivables for electricity transmission services. An important focus of this work was claim-related activity.

For 12 months, specialists of Kostromaenergo’s legal unit submitted 251 lawsuits to courts for collection of receivables totalling more than 330.9 million rubles. In 307 cases, including lawsuits submitted earlier, decisions were made to collect 31.2 million rubles in favour of the company. In the same period, bailiffs sent 160 writs of execution for a total amount of 41.1 million rubles as claims.

Currently, in the production of courts of various instances, there are 108 claims of the power company against unscrupulous payers for a total amount of 317 million rubles.

However, despite all the efforts, the level of overdue receivables of Kostromaenergo remains high: as of 31 December, it was 392.7 million rubles. The whole amount falls on two debtors: PJSC “Kostroma Retail Company” (365.8 million rubles) and OJSC “Oboronenergosbyt” (26.9 million rubles).

It should be noted that the actions of defaulters threaten the reliability of electricity supply to consumers in the region, since the funds received by Kostromaenergo for providing electricity transmission services are used, among other things, to implement production programs. The company will consistently continue its work to collect accounts receivable, using all the mechanisms provided for by current legislation.
