The next Safety Day was held in Ostrovsky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division. This event is held in all production subdivisions of the company on a monthly basis in order to monitor compliance by staff with labour protection and safety rules during work.
The commission, which included the chief engineer, heads of the technical unit and specialized services of the executive office of Kostromaenergo, checked the condition of territories of production bases of the Distribution Zone, household and production premises, the organization of road safety, the implementation of a program to improve the level of occupational safety of operating personnel. Inspectors also evaluated the provision of workplaces with instructions on labour protection and safety, job descriptions and standard operating procedures.
As a result of the check, some measures were planned aimed at improving the labour protection, road safety, and the sanitary condition of the premises, and the deadlines for their implementation were set.
The Safety Days are an important component of the system for preserving the life and health of workers in the course of their work. Such events are held in order to prevent industrial injuries, increase the production culture, increase the staff responsibility for compliance with the standards and rules on labour protection and safety, technological and labour discipline, reduce the likelihood of violations, which can lead to negative consequences in the workplace.
