In 2018, IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division (part of PJSC ROSSETI’s Group of Companies), planned a large amount of energy conservation and energy efficiency measures. The total effect of the implementation of the program of energy conservation and energy efficiency in 2018 amounted to 4,651.6 thousand kWh.
As part of this program, wires were replaced with a larger cross section on overloaded 0.4 kV power lines, taps were replaced in residential buildings with self-supporting insulated wire. Also, 15 power transformers were replaced with energy-saving ones under the program of technical re-equipment and development. The total effect from the implementation of these technical measures in 2018 was 592.75 thousand kWh.
As part of the implementation of the organizational measures of the energy saving program, loadings of phases in distribution grids were equalized, transformers were disconnected at low and seasonal loads at substations with two or more transformers, and the load was redistributed in the main grid with switchings. The effect of these measures amounted to 2,886.27 thousand kWh.
The program of modernization of electricity metering devices (AMR) in 2018 allowed to get an effect of 1,120.94 thousand kWh.
To reduce the volume of consumption of fuel and energy resources for household needs, the branch carried out a massive replacement of fluorescent and incandescent lamps with LED ones, which in the first months after the installation of new lamps, saved 28.86 thousand kWh.
