Implementation of the energy saving program to allow Belgorodenergo to save 898 thousand kWh of electricity

24.01.2019

In 2019, due to measures aimed at reducing technical losses of electricity, IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division plans to save 898 thousand kWh of electricity.

The list of measures includes planned replacement of 6-10 kV transformers with energy-saving transformers, replacement of taps to residential buildings with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), disconnection of transformers at two-transformer substations operating at low loads, disconnecting transformers with seasonal loads, equalizing phase loads in distribution 0.4 kV grids. Among the most successful are the replacement of transformers and wires on overloaded power lines to wires with a larger cross-section. In particular, the cumulative effect is only expected from the replacement of wires in the amount of 462 thousand kWh.

Last year, as part of the implementation of the energy saving and energy efficiency program, the branch installed 76 power transformers with reduced power consumption with an aggregate capacity of 16.1 MVA in distribution grids, installed 190 km of wires and 5,801 taps to consumers’ homes on overloaded power lines.

In the coming years, the most important priorities in the field of energy conservation and energy efficiency will remain loss reduction and energy savings for production and business needs.
