Since 2015, IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division has been implementing a program for integrated automation of its 6-10 kV distribution grid. It includes measures for installation of reclosers on ring feeders with the implementation of the grid automatic transfer switching function and the reconstruction of Switchgear-6-10 kV of feeding substations with the replacement of switches with vacuum ones with microprocessor protection.
Over the past four years 15 reclosers were installed, put into operation and successfully operate in Smolensky Distribution Zone of the branch on lines of 6-10 kV Conductor-1001, Conductor-1002 and Conductor-613 of the substation “Zavodskaya”, Conductor-602, Conductor-609 of the substation “Pechersk”, Conductor-1002 of the substation “Odintsovo”, Conductor-1006 of the substation “Trudilovo”. It is planned to automate 52 feeders with installation of 90 reclosers in 2019-2022.
As part of the implementation of the investment program of 2018 in terms of the installation of reclosers, ringed overhead lines of 10 kV No. 1013 and No. 1001 of the 110/35/10 kV substation “Velizh” and ringed overhead lines of 10 kV No. 1007 of the 110/10 kV substation “Vyazma-Traction” and No. 1011 of the 110/35/10 kV substation “Vyazma-1” were upgraded.
The use of PBA/TEL reclosers in distribution grids allows to significantly increase the reliability of power supply to consumers, automate fault location and isolation on a line, reduce the cost of maintaining the electrical grid, optimize the work of dispatching and operating personnel, improve the technical level of operation of electrical grids and ultimately create manageable and automated distribution grids of a new generation.
