For rescue of a drowning child an employee of Kurskenergo was awarded a medal of EMERCOM of Russia

By Order of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief, an engineer of the industrial safety and production control office of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division Anatoly Voronenko was awarded the EMERCOM of Russia Medal for Rescue of the Lost on Waters.

Please, be reminded than the incident happened in June this year in the city of Oboyan. The power engineer rested with his family on a city beach on the Psel river when he saw a child choking in water. Anatoly, without hesitation, rushed into the water and pulled a nine-year-old girl ashore. The victim was no longer breathing. The score went on a second. The employee of Kurskenergo immediately began resuscitation. After the girl came to feelings, she was handed over to the ambulance team that arrived.

For the heroic deed Anatoly Voronenko, who showed courage in an extreme situation and saved a human life, was awarded in a solemn atmosphere the Medal of the Emergency Ministry of Russia by Acting Head of the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Kursk region Sergey Sharov.
