IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division held a solemn meeting dedicated to the Power Engineers’ Day and the 60th anniversary of the enterprise. More than 200 employees of the branch, industry veterans, a representative of the regional duma, and heads of partner enterprises took part in the festive event.
The meeting was opened by First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of Kurskenergo Vyacheslav Istomin. He noted that with the formation of the Regional Electricity Authority “Kurskenergo” on 13 May 1958, the plans for the development of the power system began to be developed for the first time, and purposeful work was carried out on the electrification of the Kursk region. The film, prepared for the anniversary of the enterprise, told the audience about the stages of the development of the country’s energy sector in general and Kurskenergo, in particular.
Vyacheslav Istomin congratulated the power engineers on important events in the life of the team, summed up the results of work in the outgoing year, thanked the team for conscientious work and professionalism. “The branch has fulfilled its obligations to consumers for the transmission of electricity, connection to the grid, and on a timely and high-quality basis implemented measures for the repair and investment programs.”
Among the important events of the outgoing year was the participation of Kurskenergo’s specialists in the exercises of ROSSETI’s Group of Companies in the Republic of Dagestan and the Tver region, where they successfully completed their tasks. The efforts of the power engineers resulted in improving the quality of power supply to tens of thousands of people, and the participants of the exercises share the acquired skills and abilities with their colleagues, which contributes to improving the skills of employees of Kurskenergo’s Distribution Zones.
Special words of gratitude to the power engineers, veterans - people who were at the origins of the Kursk power system creation were expressed by Deputy Chairman of the Kursk Regional Duma Dmitry Gurin. He noted that the experience accumulated over the decades, the continuity of generations, remarkable traditions - this is the reserve of safety of Kurskenergo’s team, which allows it to perform any tasks, cope with all difficulties.
In the course of the solemn meeting from the stage of the assembly hall of Kurskenergo, the power engineers were wished trouble-free operation, stability, and progressive development of the energy system by representatives of the regional organization “All-Russian Electrical Trade Union”, enterprises-partners.
On this festive day, more than 170 employees of Kurskenergo were awarded diplomas and letters of gratitude of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, PJSC ROSSETI, IDGC of Centre, Kurskenergo, the Kursk Regional Duma, which is recognition of their high professionalism, conscientious work and team responsibility for providing reliable power supply to consumers.
The ceremonial meeting was completed by a bright musical program prepared by forces of Kurskenergo’s workers and veterans.
