IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division completed work on connection to the outdoor lighting grid of a six-lane road, which connected the new residential neighbourhoods “New Tambov”, “Maysky” and “Severny” with the centre of Tambov. The total connected power was 64.18 kW.
In 2017, Tambovenergo’s specialists already modified the grid for the safe operation of this transport artery, which is being built as part of the federal program “Dwelling”. Some sections of the highway lay within security zones of overhead lines (OHL) of 10-110 kV. In order to exclude the possibility of their damage in the event of emergency situations on the road, and as a result, power supply disruptions, Tambovenergo’s employees moved poles and removed the overhead lines from the area of aerial work. Reinforced concrete poles were replaced with metal anchor ones, more rigid and durable. In total, the power engineers reconstructed 3.3 kilometres of overhead lines.
“Tambovenergo is actively involved in improving the infrastructure of the city and improving the quality of life of consumers. Thanks to the immediate and high-quality work of our specialists in the connection to the outdoor lighting grid of this highway, traffic lights will be installed and public transport will be launched in the near future,” stressed Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
