IDGC of Centre works to integrate ownerless power grid assets

29.11.2018

In 2018, in the course of inventory of ownerless assets, Lipetskenergo’s employees identified and planned to put 62 assets on the balance sheet. The main part of the ownerless assets - 58 facilities - these are overhead lines with their length of 88 kilometres. In addition, two cable lines and two package transformer substations with a capacity of 880 kVA were found.

The work on the consolidation of power grid assets is carried out in accordance with the road map signed between IDGC of Centre and the Energy and Tariffs Office of the Lipetsk region, the main goal of which is the development and consolidation of the power grid of the Lipetsk region. The consolidation of ownerless grids and networks of other owners will reduce operating costs, improve manageability and reliability of the regional power system.

In addition, for the same purpose, work is carried out with municipal property assets that are not assigned to be served by the existing territorial grid organizations. In the fourth quarter of 2018, the branch of IDGC of Centre signed an agreement with the administration of the Bogoroditsky village council of Dobrinsky district for servicing their power grid facilities.

“The branch of Lipetskenergo is faced with the task of ensuring reliable and uninterrupted power supply to all consumers in our region, even in the smallest localities. Therefore, the consolidation of the electric grid facilities, including ownerless grids, and their acceptance into the balance is one of the important directions of our activity. The results are already noticeable: in ten years, 1,723 abandoned facilities have acquired the owner in the person of the branch, among them 591 kilometres of grids. This had a positive effect on the quality of electricity supply to consumers, and on the reduction of losses in the grids,” stresses the head of the property office of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division Vera Shipulina.
