Belgorodenergo increases the reliability of inter-district power lines

IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division completed replacement of ground wire on 110 kV inter-district high-voltage overhead lines (Conductors) with a total length of about 70 km. 29 million rubles with VAT were allocated for the project.

In the process of reconstruction, the power engineers replaced three sections of the ground wire on the 110 kV overhead lines “Belgorod-Sazhnoye”, “Sazhnoye-Aleksandrovka” and “Belgorod-Yuzhnaya”. New multi-frequency vibration dampers were installed throughout the length, reducing the risk of wire damage caused by wind.

The need for work related to the prevention of emergency situations caused by lightning. The ground wire protects overhead lines and also protects equipment of the 110 kV substations “Belgorod”, “Yuzhnaya”, “Aleksandrovka” and “Sazhnoye” from disconnection, which feed electricity consumers of the regional centre, Belgorodsky, Yakovlevsky and Prokhorovsky districts, including the South-Eastern railway. Upon completion of the reconstruction, the reliability of electricity supply in these districts will increase significantly.
