Belgorodenergo summed up the results of the regional competition “Energy and Man” - 2018

The annual children’s competition "Energy and Man", organized by IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division with the support of the Department of Education of the region and BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, completed in the region. More than 70 young researchers from 16 districts defended their projects on electrical safety, innovation, and respect for energy.

The regional stage was preceded by school and municipal ones. 74 best projects and applied researches came to the final, which were presented to the jury.

As the head of the electric modes service of Belgorodenergo, a member of the jury Andrey Kurotchenko stressed, the branch today sees these talented guys as their future colleagues, counts on them and is ready to help in development of professional skills, because they will determine the future of the regional grid complex.

Director of the Institute of Energy, Information Technology and Control Systems Alexander Belousov urged students to think about choosing a profession right now. The demand for engineering increases every year. Energy is among the basic sectors that determine the development of the country’s economy. He stressed that the competition provides an opportunity to try their hand at practice, to understand how strong the desire to connect their lives with the energy industry, and winners and prize-winners of the competition will receive additional points when they enter BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

According to the results of open protection of projects, 20 students became winners and prize-winners.

In the younger age group, the projects of the 2nd form pupils, Alexander Romanov “At the beginning there was a wheel ...” (Komsomolskaya secondary school of Belgorodsky district) and Artem Abrosimov “Secrets of the kingdom “Electrius” (Progymnasium No. 51 in the city of Belgorod) became the best.

In the middle age category in terms of points scored, the research work on the influence of electric current on a human body of the 6th form pupil of Stary Oskol Gymnasium No. 18 Rostislav Storozhev and the “Smart Home” project of the 7th form pupil of the Centre for Technological Education and Children’s Technical Creativity of the city of Belgorod Yaroslava Ermak became the leaders.

Kirill Belyaev, the tenth form pupil of Soldatskaya secondary school of Rakityansky district, who presented the research and practical application of the Peltier element, and the 9th form pupil of Razumenskaya secondary school No. 1 Dmitry Korneev with the project “Energy merry-go-round”, distinguished themselves among pupils of forms 9-11.

The final scoresheet is published on the website of the Olympiad of schoolchildren of Belogorye at http://olymp.beluno.ru. The award ceremony will be held in December at the central office of Belgorodenergo.
