Over the past 9 months of 2018, IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division provided connection to the electric grid of four apartment buildings in the territory of Smolensk, Gagarin and Vyazma of the Smolensk region. The facilities were connected under categories of power supply reliability 1, 2 or 3.
In January, the grid connection of two residential buildings was completed at once - a ten-storey building in the city of Smolensk in the area of Normandie-Niemen Street and a five-storey residential building in Gagarin on Stroiteley Street. In March, the power engineers completed work on the grid connection of blocks No. 2 and 5A of a 15-floor apartment building in the centre of Smolensk on Gagarin Boulevard. The residential building is located in the historical centre of the city in the vicinity of all socially significant facilities: kindergartens, shopping centres, schools, a children’s hospital, Clinical Emergency Hospital, Heroes’ Square, Victory Square. In June, electricity was connected to a 9-storey apartment building in the town of Vyazma, Polevaya Street.
To provide electricity to future residents of multi-apartment houses, the power engineers laid cable lines, constructed overhead lines, installed new transformer substations. The activities performed in 2018 have already enabled the connection of housing facilities with a total capacity of 377.85 kW.
“Grid connection of housing facilities for the branch is among the priority areas. Despite the rapid growth in the number of applications for grid connection, the power engineers pay particular attention to socially important facilities and housing construction projects, performing a large number of new connections every year,” commented the head of the control and reporting section of the grid connection office Kirill Lobanov.
