In the Central Library named after N.S. Klestov-Angarsky in the city of Smolensk an event on energy saving was held, conducted by employees of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division.
The lecture on promoting the culture of respect for energy resources was held for students of the 4th course of the Smolensk branch of the Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov. During the event, future economists learned about the difference between energy saving and energy efficiency, got acquainted with methods of saving energy and water in life, allowing to reduce the cost of rent.
The highlight of the event was an energy saving quiz, in which all the students took an active part, having the opportunity to demonstrate their erudition and ingenuity.
“With respect to energy saving” - this phrase was the motto of the event. Forming a culture of respect for electricity and other energy resources with the younger generation is an urgent task today, which is part of the state program in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency.
This is the first experience of Smolenskenergo on interaction with libraries. In the future we plan to continue working with libraries of the city of Smolensk not only on the topic of energy saving, but also on the topics of vocational guidance and electrical safety for schoolchildren and students.
