31.10.2018

Representatives of the team of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division, while they were in the Tver region, went on an excursion around the landmark historical sites of the town of Vyshniy Volochek. The event was held in their free time in the framework of the large-scale exercises of subsidiaries and affiliates of PJSC “Rosseti” on organizing interaction and eliminating mass interruptions at power grid facilities in the Tver region.

Vyshniy Volochek is a popular tourist centre known as “Tver Venice”. This town owes such a loud name to the fact that it was here that the first artificial waterway was built on the territory of the Russian Federation, the beginning of which dates from the beginning of the XVIII century. In addition, Vyshniy Volochek is visited annually by thousands of pilgrims who come to the Epiphany Cathedral and the Kazan nunnery located here.

“A distinctive feature of these places from our Tambov is a large number of lakes, rivers and forests. I was interested to learn about the Vyshnevolotsk water system and its role in the formation of the Russian state and the construction of the city of St. Petersburg. And of course, I liked the Vyshnevolotsky Kazan nunnery, which is famous for its original architecture and unique wall painting of the temples,” the head of the power line service of Tambovenergo Stanislav Sablin shared his impressions.
