More than one and a half thousand schoolchildren of Kostroma took part in energy saving classes

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division conduct systematic work on training schoolchildren of the Kostroma region in the basics of rational and safe use of energy resources. One of its key areas is energy saving lessons. At the end of October, such classes were held in schools number 3, 22 and 24 of Kostroma and the Kostroma energy technical college named after F.V. Chizhov (KET), with students taking part in open energy saving lessons. They were conducted by an engineer of the department of energy saving and energy efficiency of the branch “Kostromaenergo” Andrey Smirnov. He told the students about modern energy-saving technologies and gave advice on the economical use of household and electrical appliances.

The practical value of the classes was appreciated by the teachers present at them. “Energy efficiency lessons help form a personal interest of children in saving and, therefore, in solving the actual problem of energy saving,” stressed Maya Kuznetsova, the head of the group and teacher at the KET.

In total, since the beginning of 2018, Kostromaenergo’s specialists have conducted 59 energy-saving classes in educational institutions of the region, more than 1,500 children have become their participants. Another 17 lessons are planned to be held until the end of this year.
