Kurskenergo continues to conduct classes on prevention of electrical injuries

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continue to conduct electrical safety lessons for children and adolescents of educational institutions of the Kursk region. The next series of thematic classes was held in schools in of Pristensky and Rylsky districts. More than 300 schoolchildren took part in them.

Specialists from Kurskenergo introduced the pupils to the basic electrical safety rules, told about the meaning of warning and prohibition signs installed on power equipment. The power engineers explained why it is impossible to approach dangling wires and transformer substations, make recreation areas and fires near power lines, and demonstrated methods of providing first aid to an injured person with electric shock. At the end of the lesson, all participants were given thematic leaflets and brochures.

Prevention of children’s electrical injuries is one of Kurskenergo’s priorities. Work in this area is carried out by specialists of the branch continuously. Until the end of this year, the power engineers are planning to hold about 60 more thematic sessions.
