Smolenskenergo’s power engineers went to work on a high alert operation mode

In connection with the predicted adverse weather conditions in the Smolensk region (wet snow with a visibility of 500-1,000 m, sticking of sleet on trees and wires, ice slick), by the decision of the headquarters of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division a high alert operation mode has been introduced from 11-30 a.m. on 26 October 2018.

Control over the operation of equipment and the performance of power facilities of the branch has been enhanced. Crews equipped with necessary tools, devices and work clothes are ready for quick response around the clock. Smolenskenergo also has at its disposal specialized vehicles and backup power sources that can be used to supply electricity.

To inform the public on electricity supply issues, Smolenskenergo operates the 24-hour Contact Centre.
