IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division summed up the work on prevention of electrical injuries among children and adolescents for the first three quarters of 2018. During this period, the company’s specialists conducted more than 400 lessons and about 20 route games on electrical safety in educational institutions and children’s country camps of the Kostroma region. In addition, this year a series of electrical safety lessons “Help Yourself” was held for the first time in major shopping and entertainment centres in Kostroma.
Traditional electrical safety lessons, thematic excursions and open doors days for pupils take place throughout the year in all Distribution Zones of Kostromaenergo. In the summer, power engineers organize classes in children’s health camps. Specialists of the safety service of the branch acquaint schoolchildren with the rules of conduct near electric grid facilities and warning signs, tell them how to handle household appliances, teach them and answer questions about electricity.
Kostromaenergo’s employees conduct route electrical safety games in summer out-of-town and school camps together with representatives of regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels, the traffic police and the All-Russian Voluntary Fire Society organized safety classes for children and teenagers.
Prevention of children’s electrical injuries at facilities of the electric grid complex of IDGC of Centre is a priority for the company.
