As a result of the work of the mobile inspection control group, which was created at the end of June 2017 to implement a set of measures to reduce electricity losses in grids of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division, 37 raids were conducted for 8 months of 2018, 32 cases of illegal consumption were revealed for the amount of 3.96 million rubles. According to the results of inspections conducted by the mobile inspection control group, two residential customers have already been brought to administrative responsibility under Art. 7.19 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
Please, be reminded that the mobile inspection control group includes employees of the security department and the department of operation and development of metering systems of the branch. For more than a year, the mobile group has been working to identify facts of non-metered and non-contractual use of electricity by consumers, monthly revealing the illegal use of electricity. Members of the mobile group find various methods of electricity theft, including with the help of specialized equipment.
Power engineers remind that both the grid company and consumers suffer from criminal acts of energy thieves, because as a result of the theft of energy resources, power surges occur, home appliances fail, and the probability of power outages and fires increases.
