15.10.2018

Two dozen works on the topic “Energy thief! Hold to account!” were sent by students and schoolchildren of the Lipetsk region.

Winners of the caricature competition were determined by IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division. Schoolchildren of Lipetsk, students of the Department of Fine Arts of the Institute of Culture and Art of Lipetsk State Pedagogical University and the Department of Design of Yelets State University took part in it. The competition started in June, professional artists and amateurs could take part in it. Creative residents of the region were offered to try themselves in the following topics: “Honest electricity is cheaper than stolen”, “Energy theft is dangerous to life and property”, and several others.

“A social poster even for experienced artists is not an easy task, so I was curious how students would cope with it. But with such fervor they took up a difficult topic and found such unexpected solutions that I understood: in the fight against power stealing, imagination is a great helper,” the associate professor of the Department of Design and Folk Art Culture of Yelets State University named after Bunin Svetlana Bondarchuk commented on her pupils’ participation.

The imagination, embodied in the drawing, helped Maria Agafonova, a student at Yelets University, take the third place in the competition; Tatyana Soboleva, a student of the design department of the same university, took the second place. Each of the artists in their own way played over the fact that when trying to steal electricity, the violator can seriously suffer from electric shock.

The first prize was unanimously awarded to the work of Elizaveta Rodionova, a third-year student at the Institute of Culture and Art of Lipetsk State Pedagogical University.

“When I was painting, I thought about people who are draining energy out of you. That turned out such a hopeless picture. Well, then I still remembered that the task was to steal electricity and draw a poster, and the slogan itself came to mind,” said the winner of the contest, Elizaveta Rodionova.

“Do not steal a kilowatt from your neighbour” - this inscription decorates the winner - poster. Gifts and diplomas will be given to its author and two other winners. In addition, Lipetskenergo decided to present the audience award as well. Its owner will be named by employees of Lipetskenergo. Well, the three best Lipetsk posters "Energy thief! Hold to account!” will go to Moscow to the competition of satirical drawings of IDGC of Centre.
