IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division holds the action “Current to lock” on the territory of the Tambov region. Its goal is to draw the attention of the general public to cases of electrical injuries arising from illiterate and unsafe behaviour near power facilities whose locking devices are damaged by vandals. The venue for the next event was a transformer substation (TS) near the Krasnenskaya school in the village of Krasnenkaya in Tambovsky district, and about 20 schoolchildren took part in it.
Tambovenergo’s employees told the schoolchildren what the substation is for, why they should not penetrate its territory and where they should refer to when locks and other locking devices are found at the power facility. Together with the leading engineer of the industrial safety and production control office of Tambovenergo Roman Dolgov, the schoolchildren worked out the “goose” step to exit the danger zone, repeated the electrical safety rules, and learned about the importance of warning signs installed on electrical equipment. At the end of the event, Tambovenergo’s specialists placed an information sticker on the doors of the substation indicating the contacts to which citizens should refer if they find an open door or a damaged TS lock.
“The campaign “Current to lock” runs from 21 September to 15 October in all regions of operations of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. As part of it, Tambovenergo plans to organize 10 classes near energy facilities located on school grounds, near-house territories, in parks and squares,” stressed Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
Tambovenergo asks citizens if they have witnessed violations of electrical equipment (wire breakage, damage to overhead lines, etc.), seen the absence of locking devices at power facilities (open doors of transformer substations, broken locks) urgently report this via the direct line of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115.
