IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division carries out systematic career guidance with schoolchildren and students. One of the components of this work are tours to the Museum of the History of Energy of the Kursk region.
Last week, more than 50 students of the South-West State University and the Kursk Electromechanical Technical School visited power engineers during the Open Doors Days. In the Museum the students were told about the history of the formation of the Kursk energy system, its leaders and honoured workers. The guys learned about the working biography of power engineers who created and strengthened the capacity of the regional energy system. And the branch’s specialists demonstrated with the help of an interactive map a phased electrification of settlements of the Kursk region.
At the end of the tour the participants of the event noted that the meeting turned out to be interesting and intense. They thanked the employees of Kurskenergo for the informative tour into the world of the energy profession.
Until the end of the year, the power engineers are planning to conduct about 20 tours for students of specialized higher and secondary specialized educational institutions of the region.
