Head of Smolenskenergo’s Grid Control Centre visited participants of the exercises in the Tver region

The trip of Sergey Shumarov, Deputy Chief Engineer for Operational-Technological and Situational Management - Head of the Grid Control Centre of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division, to the Tver region took place on 4-5 October 2018. He visited the exercises’ participants in Kalininsky district of the Tver region to verify the work of dispatchers and line crews.

During the trip on 4 October, Smolenskenergo’s dispatcher’s work was checked at the remote Turginovsky section of Kalininsky Distribution Zone of Tverenergo. The next day, Sergey Shumarov visited two line crews, which were carrying out work on clearing ROWs from trees and shrubs on 10 kV lines going out of the 110 kV substation “Pushkino”.

“According to the results of the check, our crews confirmed the high level of professionalism and readiness to work in any conditions,” stressed Sergey Shumarov.

Please, be reminded that the exercises of power engineers in the Tver region started in late September and continue until 22 December 2018. During the exercises, more than 5 thousand power engineers should clear over an area of 6,560 hectares of ROWs along power lines from trees and bushes, expand ROWs along power lines over an area of more than 1,000 hectares, install about 540 km of self-supporting insulated wire and construct a new 35 kV power line. The result of the work should be a reduction by a third in the failure rate of the electric grid complex of the Tver region and a reduction by two times of the power supply restoration time in case of technological interruptions.
