Employees of IDGC of Centre took part in organizing and holding a city holiday during the festival #VmesteYarche in Smolensk. Festive events were held on the day of the city of Smolensk - 29 September 2018 - in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation “Lopatinsky Garden” on the Mass Field.
In the program of events, the central place was taken by a drawing contest on asphalt, a flash mob and the action “Coffee in exchange for an electronic bill”. In addition, all winners of the regional contest of creative works and the Internet Olympiad on energy saving were awarded with certificates and gifts.
Together with the employees of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division, young participants of the holiday were able to get an electrician ready to work - they had the opportunity to try on power engineer’s overalls, to get acquainted with protective equipment - helmets, dielectric gloves and boots. Children enjoyed taking pictures with hashtags in support of the festival.
“The purpose of the festival is to urge all of us to treat energy resources with care, to encourage the best resource-saving practices. During the festival, Smolenskenergo’s team held dozens of lessons at educational institutions of the region aimed at promoting an energy-saving lifestyle. Such events give us an additional opportunity to understand that everyone can make life in their own country, city, family better. It is important that everyone participates in improving energy efficiency both at home and in the workplace or place of study,” commented Dmitry Serenkov, the head of the energy saving and energy efficiency department.
During the festival, there was a traditional action to encourage Smolensk citizens and guests of the city to sign the Declaration on careful attitude to energy resources.
