Power engineers about the exercises in the Tver region

04.10.2018

Sergey Kozlov, electronics engineer of the 1st category of the Office of corporate and technological automated control systems of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division

- The main task of our service at the exercises was to equip office equipment for placement of supervisors and dispatchers in each of the five Distribution Zones and the headquarters responsible for the work of all subdivisions of Belgorodenergo in Tver. We brought from Belgorod and connected 14 computers and laptops, a server for recording conversations, modem gateways, 10 stationary telephones, ensured the work of radio stations, video recording equipment, more than 100 cell phones for communication of employees working on ROWs, with the headquarters. After entering computers into the domain and setting up accounts, our colleagues now have the opportunity to upload all reporting documentation on the work performed to a single resource, use corporate mail. This made the work more transparent and efficient. Tver colleagues helped us in resolving issues. In general, we acted in close contact to catch everything in time and not to restrain the work of the power engineers. I am glad that I managed to visit Tver. This is a change of scenery, and the experience of rapid deployment of a remote office, and just a vivid impression of the beautiful nature. Such a mighty forest, you passed 10 metres and already lost. Yes, it’s beautiful, but it’s not easy for the power engineers. You look at the quickly overgrown vegetation and you understand: it is necessary to put a lot of effort into clearing ROWs along power lines, and prevent interruptions due to the fall of branches on wires.

Dmitry Yakovenko, master of Krasnogvardeisky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division

- I travel to other regions not the first time. I previously participated in the construction of Olympic facilities, helped restore power supply after freezing rain. There I worked as an electrician, at the exercises in Tver - already a master. Now I am engaged in the organization and monitoring of the performance of work when clearing ROWs along power lines. The activity is usual, however, I did not have such large-scale cuttings as in Nelidovo. In Tver, impassable thickets and marshes. In such natural conditions it is necessary to monitor the state of ROWs constantly, not allowing plants to seize the territory and create problems for the power supply of consumers. The attitude of the locals makes me happy. Everyone understands that after clearing the ROWs along the power lines, the upcoming winter will be calmer: there will be no outages due to the fall of trees on wires. Therefore, the exercises are an important matter: real assistance to both our colleagues and consumers of the Tver region.

Vladimir Trudnenko, electrician of Krasnogvardeisky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division

- I already have experience in other regions, so without hesitation, I went to Tver for the exercises. Here I was struck by the extent of the forest: this amount of dense, dark forest I had not seen before. Sometimes, to get to work, I had to leave the car far from the place of clearing and walk. It was impossible to drive either because of the marshland, or because of the undergrowth. And we need to clear these thickets. We work from the ground, or sawing from the aerial, if the terrain allows. We fold the chopped wood into a pile so that the foresters can remove the leftovers. In general, I liked to participate in such large-scale exercises. If there is an opportunity, with pleasure, I will stay for a long time.
