IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division hosted the annual solemn event timed to the International Day of Older Persons.
In the assembly hall of the Kostroma Power Engineering College named after F.V. Chizhov the branch gathered about 50 veterans of Kostromaenergo. In the creative holiday program, employees of the enterprise spoke to them. Nadezhda Muravieva, the head of the human resources department of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division, along with kind and warm words of gratitude, presented gifts to the veterans, the winners of the last competition “Gifts of Autumn”.
During the tea party, the representatives of the older generation, who devoted a significant part of their lives to work in the Kostroma energy system, were able to communicate with colleagues and friends, to recall everyday work and professional achievements. A lot was said about what helps to maintain an active lifestyle. In many ways, grandchildren, a favourite hobby, as well as participation in diverse events, organized in their own branch, help preserve their youth.
“During the year we took part in the culinary competition, the embroidery and sewing festival, chess tournaments, the vegetables exhibition “Gifts of Autumn” and many other things we prepare for them in advance, we are very pleased to receive the support and approval of guys from Kostromaenergo,” says Ekaterina Ushanova, the chair of the Veterans' Council of the enterprise. “At various times of the year, the trade union committee gives us trips to recreation centres with pancakes and songs around the fire. It is nice to feel support and care, we are at home here.”
