Branch “Kostromaenergo” summed up the work on energy saving and energy efficiency for 7 months of this year

IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division summed up the results of the implementation of the energy saving and energy efficiency improvement program for 7 months of 2018. The total effect of the implementation of measures aimed at reducing electricity losses in this period amounted to 45.83 thousand kWh.

The reduction of losses in electric grids was achieved thanks to the implementation of a number of specially developed organizational and technical measures. Among them there is the optimization of underloaded equipment operation, replacement of wires for a larger section on overloaded power lines and replacement of taps of overhead line wires in residential buildings with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), replacement of transformers with energy-efficient ones.

For 7 months of the current year, in distribution grids of 6-10 (0.4) kV, the effect was obtained from organizational measures at 11.12 thousand kWh, and from technical measures at 32.79 thousand kWh. These measures not only increased the level of energy efficiency of the branch “Kostromaenergo”, but also increased the degree of reliability of power supply to consumers in the Kostroma region.

In addition, the energy company gives great importance to the work on optimizing the consumption of electric energy for utility needs of substations. According to the results of seven months of 2018, the electricity consumption compared with the planned target decreased by 115.57 thousand kWh (2.44%).

Please, be reminded that at present IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division is implementing the Program of energy saving and energy efficiency, designed for 2017-2022. Control of its implementation is carried out by the Central Commission of IDGC of Centre for energy saving and reduction of losses. The activities of the program are aimed at reducing electric energy losses in grids and decreasing consumption of energy resources for production and business needs of the branch “Kostromaenergo”, and at improving the company’s energy and operating efficiency.
