Andrey Gromov, Acting Head of the Administration of Nelidovsky district of the Tver region about the large-scale exercises in the Tver region

- We are very pleased that the exercises are held on the territory of Nelidovo. Our district is wooded, with lots of swamps. In winter, we always experienced difficulties: freezing rain and wind constantly provoked power outages. But the clearing of ROWs along power lines during the exercises, I am sure, will lead to the complete elimination of interruptions in electricity supply due to the fall of trees on power lines. I want to note that the power engineers are working very professionally and efficiently. All issues related to the organization of labour, the coordination of schedules of planned outages, the scope of work, we decide together with supervisors. We always know exactly who works where and how many hectares to clear. There are also difficulties, mainly due to the weather. Then unscheduled work on the restoration of electricity supply is added, and we have to inform consumers about the timing of the resumption of electricity supply. But after the completion of the clearing, I am sure that there will be much fewer such questions. We thank the head of Rosseti, the governor of the region, the management of IDGC of Centre for making a fateful decision on conducting the exercises in our district and for the highly qualified, trained personnel equipped with necessary gear and specialized vehicles.
