All production departments and subdivisions of the branch regularly organize removal and transfer for disposal to specialized organizations of solid household waste, mercury lamps and oiled rags. To prevent land pollution by production and consumption wastes, the company’s power engineers regularly arrange sites for accumulation of waste, mark containers, carry out primary accounting, maintain formation and movement logs for all types of waste.
The branch "Kostromaenergo" annually conducts industrial control of emissions of polluting substances in atmospheric air. According to the results of the conducted checks, the excess of the standards for maximum permissible emissions was not revealed.
The branch gives a separate place to the use of advanced technologies and solutions for delivery and distribution of electric energy. So, during construction, reconstruction and technical re-equipment of power facilities of the branch, self-supporting insulated wires are used, providing additional operational safety and reliability of power supply.
It should be noted that Kostromaenergo pays special attention to the implementation of the Environmental Policy Program. In general, the branch has high requirements for the environmental aspects of production activities.
