Based on the results of eight months Kostromaenergo overfulfilled the plan for the productive supply of electricity and reduction of losses

21.09.2018

IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division summed up the results of production activity for 8 months of 2018. During this period, the company exceeded the plan for a number of key indicators. The volume of productive supply of electricity amounted to 1,600.9 million kWh, which is 2.9% higher than the parameters of the business plan. Revenues from electricity transmission services amounted to 3.381 billion rubles and also exceeded the planned targets by 5.174 million rubles.

The level of losses in the grids amounted to 10.80%, which is 0.59% lower than in the same period last year and 0.74% below the target. The savings amounted to 9.8 million kWh. The achievement of this result was facilitated by organizational and technical measures implemented by Kostromaenergo to reduce electricity losses.

A significant effect is brought by raids to identify non-metered power consumption, conducted by personnel of Distribution Zones and electricity metering offices of the company’s branches, in conjunction with specialists of the security unit. In January-August, 6.09 million kWh of electricity, stolen by unscrupulous consumers, was included in the productive supply of the branch’s electricity.

Effective technical measures to reduce losses include the installation of seals with an indication of the magnetic effect on commercial metering devices, the installation of commercial metering devices in remote cabinets at the boundary of the balance participation, the redistribution of loads and the disconnection of unloaded transformers at substations, the installation of wire of a larger cross-section on overloaded power lines, the installation on lines of self-supporting insulated wire. The funds saved by Kostromaenergo as a result of activities aimed at reducing electric energy losses are used as an additional source of financing for solving the tasks of the branch.
