20.09.2018

IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division completed the work on grid connection of outdoor lighting networks at two sections of the federal highway M-2 "Crimea" Moscow-Tula-Orel-Kursk-Belgorod-border with Ukraine, with the length of about 15 km. The total connected capacity is 114.75 kW.

Power engineers provided electricity for lighting in the area of the village of Novaya Derevnya in Belgorodsky district and a section of the route that runs through the territories of Yakovlevsky and Ivnyansky districts. To this end, a 6 kV power line with a length of over a kilometre was constructed and a tap was installed. All the works were carried out as part of the major overhaul of the highway.

Until the end of the year, electricity will be provided for outdoor lighting in several sections of the regional road network: on the Shebekino-Korocha road near the villages of Kupino, Strelitsa Two and Tyurino, as well as on the Makarenko-Razumnoye and Razumnoye-Lower Olshanets road. More than 50 points of control of the automated control system of external lighting will be connected to the centralized power supply, which allows to remotely, according to the approved schedule, adjust the lighting of fixtures, monitor the status of networks and record energy consumption. "Intelligent" lighting, in particular, will appear on the reconstructed section of the Belgorod-Alekseevka road, 43 kilometres long, from the border of Korochansky district to Novy Oskol. It should be noted that the system of automated control for outdoor lighting works successfully on all regional roads.

Measures for grid connection of outdoor lighting networks of highways are implemented by the branch in accordance with the long-term target program for the improvement and development of the transport system and the road network of the Belgorod region for 2014-2020. For the period of its operation more than 15 thousand lighting fixtures and dozens of control points for outdoor lighting were connected on the roads of the region.
