IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division continues to implement a set of measures to strengthen the antiterrorist protection of power grid facilities in its area of responsibility. A facility-based training was conducted at the repair and production base of Rossoshansky Distribution Zone of the branch, in addition to power engineers, it was attended by employees of the regional offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and medical staff of the Central Regional Hospital. The purpose of the event was to work out actions of officials and personnel of the Distribution Zone with threat of a terrorist act.
According to the training scenario, an anonymous call came to the phone of the dispatcher of Rossoshansky Distribution Zone with a message that an administrative building of the production unit had an explosive device. The power engineers immediately called special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the EMERCOM of Russia, doctors, and promptly carried out the evacuation of employees working in the building. The staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia that arrived at the site of the exercises to ensure the security and safety of the population cordoned off the territory of the production base of the Distribution Zone, then carried out all the actions envisaged in these situations.
During the training, new introductory conditions were received, which allowed the fullest evaluation of the level of training of its participants. So, under the scenario, at one of substations of Rossoshansky district there was a fire. The operating personnel of Voronezhenergo found the seat of fire and estimated its scale, called a fire crew to the scene. By joint efforts of the employees of the branch and firemen, the conditional fire in a short time was eliminated.
"All participants of the training demonstrated competent, prompt and coordinated work in strict accordance with all the acting departmental orders and instructions. Voronezhenergo’s specialists together with representatives of the regional bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry for Emergency Situations and the Federal Security Service carry out a set of measures to ensure the security and safety of the population and the protection of critical and potentially dangerous power facilities, taking into account the risk of possible terrorist threats," stressed Director of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division Evgeny Golubchenko.
In total, the Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre has already conducted more than 10 training sessions since the beginning of the year, during which prompt actions of personnel aimed at improving the security and anti-terrorist protection of power facilities have been worked out.
At the moment, Voronezhenergo does not have information about threats of terrorist attacks on the territory of the Voronezh region, as well as against employees or facilities of the branch, but the energy company refers to the population with a request to be vigilant.
