IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division took part in a comprehensive training to eliminate threats of emergencies caused by a power failure in low temperature conditions. The training was held in the framework of joint exercises by the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia and the Ministry of Energy.
Practical events, attended by representatives of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kursk region, a branch of SO UES JSC Kursk Regional Dispatch Office, a branch of FGC UES - Chernozemnoye PMES, a branch of Quadra - Kursk Generation and JSC "Kursk Electric Grids", were organized with the purpose of training actions of operating personnel in emergency situations in conditions of limited time.
According to the training scenario, the damage and ignition of the oil circuit breaker at the 110 kV substation "Lesnaya" led to the restriction of electricity supply to consumers of Zheleznodorozhny and Central Districts of the city. Operating personnel, emergency response crews and specialists from other services of Kurskenergo immediately began to eliminate the consequences of the extraordinary situation.
Operating on the conditions to occur, the power engineers eliminated the emergency outage of the 110 kV overhead line "Lesnaya - Kirovskaya No. 1", ensuring the work clearance for fire crews at the 110 kV substation "Lesnaya" to eliminate the fire of the oil circuit breaker. In the meantime, they used the primary means of firefighting to contain the spread of the fire. In the shortest possible time, with the help of backup power sources, the branch’s specialists restored the power supply to de-energized consumers.
During the training, the operating staff of the branch exchanged information with dispatching services of municipalities and representatives of the territorial department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. This made it possible to quickly eliminate the conditional emergency situation.
In addition, within the framework of the exercises, a review of readiness of the forces and means involved in the liquidation of emergencies was held. The power engineers demonstrated modern equipment, which makes it possible to restore electricity supply to consumers in a short time period. In particular, a specialized workshop "MAVR" was presented, on the basis of an off-road vehicle. This unit is equipped with a gasoline generator, a workbench, a drilling machine, a sharpening machine, a necessary set of tools for prompt execution of all required work without leaving for the base.
"Such exercises allow us to work out the practical skills of all participants of the event, improving the processes of interaction and information exchange for more effective joint work. Coordinated actions become a decisive factor for the most rapid elimination of emergency situations and restoration of electricity supply to consumers," stressed Alexander Rudnevsky, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division director.
