Lipetskenergo discussed the preparation for the autumn-winter period

IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division in the first half of 2018 fulfilled all tasks related to the implementation of the main production programs. To pass the autumn-winter period without failures, it is necessary to sustain the pace and volumes of the planned works. This is the main conclusion voiced at the meeting of the Managing Council. The heads of the executive office of the branch and chiefs of Distribution Zones discussed the results of the work of 18 Distribution Zones for six months and plans for the near future.

The repair program in the first half was fulfilled by Lipetskenergo at 100%. The energy company maintained 549 kilometres of power lines, 74 transformer substations of 10/0.4 kV. The team of Lipetskenergo also fulfilled the half-year plan on clearing and expansion of ROWs. However, to increase the reliability of electricity supply, it was decided in the near future to more actively clear ROW along overhead lines from shrubbery.

In the event of violations in the power supply in the autumn-winter period, 46 autonomous power supply sources with a total capacity of 306 kW were checked, refilled and ready for use at the branch of IDGC of Centre, an emergency reserve of materials and equipment totalling 80 million rubles is fully completed. To react promptly to technological disruptions, 126 mobile crews were formed, consisting of 476 people, as well as 212 specialized vehicles.

At the meeting of the Managing Council, the activity of 18 Distribution Zones in the first half of 2018 was assessed and evaluated. The rating is made according to eight key criteria, among which are the timeliness of the execution of consumers’ requests, the performance of grid connection agreements and a few others. For all indicators, Izmalkovsky Distribution Zone was the leader for six months. In the same period of 2017, it was in the sixth place. Lebedyansky Distribution Zone took the second place, having risen two lines up from the fourth position. A significant leap in the rating was made by Yeletsky Distribution Zone, which was on the third place against 10 in the first half of 2017. The chiefs of Distribution Zones, which appeared at the end of the list, were given specific recommendations for improving production performance and results.

"Autumn and winter are the most difficult periods for any energy enterprise. Our company is no exception. Winds, frosts, precipitation are a test of strength, checking how well we worked during the spring and summer. All staff is aimed at efficient work, our branch does everything necessary to ensure uninterrupted power supply at any time of the year," stressed Sergey Koval, the head of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division.
